The health and fitness industry has failed you. The anguish and sadness you’ve felt as you wished you could shrink or be more disciplined is not your fault.
Let me repeat that: it’s not your fault.
Your whole life you’ve been led to believe that “healthy” looks one way and one way only, and you’ve been trying to fit yourself into that tiny and toned package ever since.
But I’m here to tell you that’s bullsh*t.
The truth is, the ways in which you choose to care for yourself matter more than your size and shape. How you treat yourself and those around you is what makes you a good person, not your weight on the scale. Your confidence does not have to stem from the way you look—with practice, you can find it within. You can feel good in your skin, and finding freedom from exercising as punishment and obsessive dieting will help you to do so.
You are glitter. You are grit. You are magical and messy. You are the wrath of thunder and lightning and the gentle warmth of a spring day. You are high and low frequencies. Complicated. Contradictory. A whole woman. A whole person. And you’re welcome here exactly as you are.
