But I’m here to tell you that’s bullshit.
The truth is, the ways in which you choose to care for yourself actually matter (your size and shape don’t). How you treat yourself and those around you is what makes you a good person, not what you ate for lunch. Your confidence does not have to stem from the way you look—with practice, you can find it within and start treating your body like a home instead of a billboard. You can feel good in your skin, and finding freedom from punishing exercise and restrictive dieting behaviors will help you to do so.
You are glitter. You are grit. You are magical and messy. You are the wrath of thunder and lightning and the gentle warmth of a spring day. You are high and low frequencies. Complicated. Contradictory. A whole person. And you’re welcome here exactly as you are.
